Bicycle

I've had my new bicycle for about three weeks now. This is part of my personal strategy of getting myself off the dependence of oil. If I could only afford the new Tesla. Give it another two to three years and they will have their 60K cars out.

I've found that from the first week of riding to this past week of riding how I'm able to use the higher gears on the hills. Leaving my house is great because I'm on a high point in Ann Arbor. The downside is the last quarter mile home is a steady steep hill.

Last weekend I did my first out of town ride. I rode from my house to the Dairy Queen in Saline. The round trip was 26 miles.
Friday - June 27th - 15.1 miles
Saturday - June 28th - 28.4 miles
Sunday - June 29th - 6 miles
Monday - June 30th - 3 miles
Tuesday - July 1st - 10.3 miles
Wednesday - July 2nd - zero
Thursday - July 3rd - 12.4 miles (so far)
Weeks total = 75.2 Miles of petal power

Zero dollars spent on gasoline.
