If you know me, you know that one of my all time favorite actresses is Mary-Louise Parker. The first time I remember seeing her was in the film, Fried Green Tomatoes. She has been in 24 movies over the last 20 years.

I had the privilege to see her perform on Broadway in 2000 where she won a Tony Award for playing the role of Catherine in the play, Proof. One of my all-time favorite plays and where she moved into my all time favorite.
In 2003, she was featured in the video by The Jayhawks. They would be in my all-time top ten favorite bands. Not a bad combination.
In television she got noticed playing Amy Gardner on the show, West Wing. She was nominated for an Emmy and SAG Award. The role she knocked out of the ballpark, is for the widow she plays on the Showtime TV series, Weeds. She has two Emmy nominations, one Golden Globe win and three SAG nominations for the role of Nancy Botwin. Season four comes out on DVD on June 2nd. The fifth season begins June 8th.
With all the excitement of more Weeds coming up, I heard she appeared in her second music video. I've heard of Charlie Mars and even found that I had one of his older albums in my collection. Just never really listened to him enough, for his music to stick. The album that features the song from the video will be released on June 9th.
In a recent interview, "Truthfully, I didn't know how he was going to make a video out of it," Parker says. "We didn't shoot for that long because I had to go to work that night. I was like, 'How the hell is he going to make a video out of that?' There just wasn't that much. But I really like it. And I love the song."
If you are a fan of Weeds, you might want to think about joining the University of Andy.
